Your hosts David Beattie and Lori Lynch would like to welcome you to the Black Rock Bistro. Located in beautiful downtown Parrsboro, our bistro includes an ‘intimate’ dining room with seating for 28 people and an adjacent wine bar that will accommodate 14 to 16 patrons.

Black Rock Bistro is beautifully decorated with a Moroccan-Indian feel, with red and brown colors predominating, further complemented with black-topped tables, black and brown chairs. The black theme extends to the bistro’s menu with offerings of blackened fish and black quinoa which we are sure you will enjoy.

Located on a spacious two and one-half acres of shady maples, fragrant roses and colorful flower gardens, our Inn is conveniently close to the town centre, yet a world apart. Enjoy the sun on the expansive front lawn, snooze in the shade of the century old maples or relax in the comfort of the Victorian Veranda.

The Gillespie House Inn offers seven spacious, graciously appointed guest rooms, each with private bath. Antique furniture, hardwood floors, down duvets and comfortable beds await. Five fireplaces add to the warmth and ambiance.Our comfortable library is the perfect place for planning your next day’s activities, chatting with other guests, catching up on the news or relaxing by the fire.

A hearty breakfast is served daily. The menu features a daily cooked selection, fresh fruit, cereals and yogurt, home made muffins, whole grain breads and bagels, complete with a bottomless cup of fresh brewed coffee or tea.

March Maple Madness 2015

BlackRock Bistro will be celebrating maple season in Parrsboro again this year.  We will be offering a maple inspired menu on the last 2 weekends of March (March 20-22 and 27-29)

Bistro Hours:

Friday 4:30 to 8:30;  Saturday 10:30 to 8:30;  Sunday 10:30 to 2:30

Wine Bar Hours:

Friday 4:30 to 10 pm;  Saturday 2:00 to 10 pm
